- The cell cycle is a sequence of cell growth and division.
- mitosis, cytokinesis, interphase
 
 - The chromosomes are duplicated during interphase
- G1 phase, S phase, G2 phase
 
 - Mitosis ensures the orderly distribution of chromosomes
- prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase
 
 - Cytokinesis produces 2 separate daughter cells
 - Mitosis produces 2 cells genetically identical to the parent cell.
