Simple CFT splitting diagrams

The Crystal Field Theory approach for first row transition metal ions requires consideration of the following:
  1. How many d electrons are there altogether?
  2. What is the stereochemistry (usually Octahedral or Tetrahedral)?
  3. What position are the ligands in the Spectrochemical series?
You must then choose the appropriate diagram showing how the 5 3d orbitals lose some of their degeneracy to split into different energy levels.
