In the past, I used information from Chemistry and Engineering News to produce the
Table of top 50 chemicals for the USA. In the June 24, 1996 edition of C&Eng News
however, it was reported that they might stop reporting this information and that the
figures given were perhaps the last collation of the facts and figures for the USA
chemical industry. The June 23rd edition for 1997 had some chemicals missing, but still
had a lengthy report.

for 1996-7 and 1995-6 and where they
have collected information dating back to 1985.
In case this really is the last set of numbers they produce and they ditch the file, my
last collation is still available.
