Problems and Prospects

• Chime 2.0 with the JCAMP-DX reader has only been released for 32-bit Windows (95, 98, NT).
• It is necessary to hand-edit the Header record of the JCAMP-DX format spectral files in order to create the linkage of spectral ranges to other windows in a display.

!!!But!!!

All files are small and easy to load!
Spartan, Gaussian, and Hyperchem are all readily available for vibrational computations!!
The hand-eye coordination possibilities for IR spectral investigation are very useful!!!
The extension to mass spectroscopy (show dynamic molecule fragmentation), and
NMR spectroscopy (peak pick to highly molecular fragment), and other spectra/graphs versus structure
correlations is extremely promising!!!!
